Associated Factors of Quality of Life in Prison Officers, Brazil

摘要: This study analyzed factors associated with the quality of life (QoL) prison officers (POs) in Midwest Region Brazil. POs five penitentiary units participated this cross-sectional study. Sociodemographic data were obtained through face to interview and a World Health Organization Quality Life abbreviated version (WHOQOL-BREF) questionnaire was applied assess QoL. Student’s t-test or ANOVA used for bivariate analysis multiple linear regression adjusted analysis. The domains outcomes were: physical, psychological, social relations, environment. lowest score among WHOQOL-BREF environment (59.9; 95%CI 58.0–61.5). After adjustment, physical domain ‘female sex’ ‘no history workplace PO-PO violence’; psychological sex’, ‘without spouse’, inmate-PO relationships ‘work experience years’, higher education’, private health insurance’, violence’. showed that female workers those violence at work had worse QoL scores. investigation highlights importance management promoting POs, as well support development strategies prevent violence.
