摘要: An immunohistochemical technique was used to investigate the distribution of cementum-associated LPS in 14 human teeth extracted because periodontal disease. Autologous affinity purified anti-LPS antibodies were obtained against a preparation oral types bound an epoxy-activated Sepharose 6B-polymyxin B column. The concentration immunoglobulin classes G. M and A prepared sera assayed by rocket immunoelectrophoresis reactivity checked using ELISA preparation. Ground sections incubated with autologous antiserum, followed detection Ig binding rabbit PAP system. detected on cementum which had been previously exposed pocket extended within I mm previous level connective tissue attachment. only surface no occasion seen penetrating into sub-surface cementum. These results suggest that extensive removal is not necessary order render root surfaces free bacterial endotoxins during planing procedures.
