摘要: Clear cell carcinoma of the ovary was initially termed as “mesonerhroma ovarii” by Schiller (1939), tumor resembled renal and believed to originate from mesonephric structure. Approximately, three decades ago, it strictly defined World Health Organization classification ovarian tumors (Serov et al. 1973) lesions characterized clear cells growing in solid/tubular or glandular patterns well hobnail cells. Recently, many publications have identified distinctive clinical behavior carcinoma; resistance platinum-based chemotherapy (Omura 1991) poor prognosis comparison with other histologic subtypes (Sugiyama 2000; Pectasides 2006). The distinguished characteristics are described this chapter: molecular after comprehensive cytoreductive surgery.
