摘要: Non-inflammatory fibrosis of the subsynovial connective tissue (SSCT) is a hallmark carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). The etiology this finding and its relationship to development CTS remain poorly understood. Recent studies have found that transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) plays central role in fibrosis. purpose study was investigate expression TGF-β factor (CTGF), downstream mediator TGF-β, pathogenesis CTS. We compared SSCT specimens from 26 idiopathic patients with 10 human cadaver controls no previous diagnosis Immunohistochemistry performed determine levels TGF-β1, CTGF, collagen 1(Col1) 3 (Col3) expression. TGF-β1 (p < 0.01), CTGF Col3 0.01) were increased control tissue. In addition, strong positive correlation between (R(2) = 0.80, p moderate 0.49, 0.01). These suggest there an regulated protein, activation may be responsible for patients.
