摘要: Caloric restriction (CR) extends life span and ameliorates the aging-related decline in hippocampal-dependent cognitive function. In present study, we compared subunit levels of NMDA AMPA types glutamate receptor quantified total synapses multiple spine bouton (MSB) hippocampal CA1 from young (10 months), middle-aged (18 old (29 months) Fischer 344×Brown Norway rats that were ad libitum (AL) fed or caloric restricted 4 months age. Each these parameters has been reported to be a potential contributor Western blot analysis revealed subunits AL animals decrease between middle age are at Interestingly, CR have significantly lower than those maintained across span. contrast, stereological quantification indicated MSB stable both rats. These results indicate significant losses consistent with altered synaptic eliminates by inducing levels.
