摘要: Abstract Eight-color spectrophotometry was obtained of Phoebe, Hyperion, and the dark side Iapetus. Our observed V magnitudes Voyager-derived diameters yield geometric albedos 0.07 for Iapetus (with some bright-side contamination), 0.06 limits 0.19 to 0.25 Hyperion (using satellite's maximum minimum dimensions, respectively). have quite reddish spectra similar each other D-type asteroids. however, has a much higher albedo than or any asteroid measured date. The mean spectrum Phoebe is flatter, with broad absorption feature near 1 μm. Therefore surface materials are optically different, result that constraints possible modes interaction between two satellites.
