摘要: A new approach for the fine tuning of flexibility in MOFs, involving functionalization secondary building unit, is presented. The “gate pressure” MOF [Zn3(bpydc)2(HCOO)2] was used as a model material and SBU performed by using monocarboxylic acids such acetic, benzoic or cinnamic instead formic acid synthesis. resulting materials are isomorphous to “as made” form, but show different structural dynamics during guest removal. activated have entirely properties nitrogen physisorption experiments clearly showing tunability gate pressure, at which transformation occurs, with varying backbone structure Thus, increasing number carbon atoms leads decreasing pressure required initiate transition. Moreover, situ adsorption/PXRD data suggest differences mechanism transformations: from opening” case “breathing” if used.
