摘要: Computers played a critical role in the initial development of multispecies modeling fish populations 1970s and, with growing popularity individual-based approach, we believe they could again play near future. The importance considerations has long been recognized fisheries (Mercer, 1982; Daan and Sissenwine, 1989). Quantitative analysis problems require some minimal level digital computing power. Consequently, received great deal attention availability 1970s. However, whereas power since increased at an exponential rate, models used today are generally similar to those applications. As increased, limitation quickly became lack knowledge about biological interactions. Thus, while shared burst activity computing, it did not continue advance as has. We argue that interest will experience another research activity. Computing become limiting factor analyses because approach is very intensive.
