摘要: Many recent studies have suggested that activation of the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) reduces immune responses, thus suppressing allergies and autoimmune diseases. In our continuing study on natural AhR agonists in foods, we examined influence 37 health food materials using a reporter gene assay, found aqueous ethanol extracts cassia seed rosemary had particularly high activity. To characterize AhR-activating substances these samples, chemical constituents respective were identified. From an active ethyl acetate fraction extract, eight aromatic compounds isolated. Among compounds, aurantio-obtusin, anthraquinone, elicited marked activation. Chromatographic separation extract gave nine compounds. cirsimaritin induced activity at 10-10² μM, nepitrin homoplantagenin, which are flavone glucosides, showed 10-10³ μM.
