摘要: Nanoparticles offer the potential to improve environmental treatment technologies due their unique properties. Adsorption of metal ions (Pb(II), Cd(II), Cu(II), Zn(II)) nanohematite was examined as a function sorbent concentration, pH, temperature, and exhaustion. experiments were conducted with 0.05, 0.1, 0.5 g/L nanoparticles in pH 8 solution spiked San Antonio tap water. The adsorption data showed ability remove Pb, Cd, Cu, Zn species from increasing nanoparticle concentration increased. At nanohematite, 100 % Pb adsorbed, 94 Cd 89 Cu adsorbed adsorbed. kinetics for all metals tested described by pseudo second-order rate equation lead having fastest adsorption. effect temperature on that Pb(II), Cd(II) underwent an endothermic reaction, while Zn(II) exothermic reaction. able simultaneously multiple (Zn, Cu) both Exhaustion at 8, exhaustion did not occur but does decrease species. strong coupled offers remediation method removal
