摘要: Twenty patients accepted for coronary bypass surgery were randomized to receive either a concentrated ethylester compound of n-3 fatty acids, with daily dose 3.15 g eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and 1.89 docosahexaenoic (DHA), or corn oil (controls) in double blind study, evaluate the effect on lipids, platelets coagulation during pre- postoperative phase. Only fasting triglyceride (TG) levels greater than equal 1.6 mmol/l at recruitment eligible. The study was continued 5 6 months. Surgery usually performed mid-intervention. Blood samples collected morning hours subjects, just prior intervention, preoperatively final follow-up. Moreover, blood loss accurately accounted postoperatively. A threefold increase (p = 0.0001) EPA noted TG-levels reduced 20 39%, respectively, reaching statistical significance end intervention 0.034). controls remained largely unchanged. In there statistically significant serum total cholesterol preoperatively, but this change no longer present completion study. No changes platelet function, as judged by bleeding time, collagen induced aggregation release TxB2 aggregation. Parameters extrinsic coagulation, including phospholipase C-sensitive factor VII (PLC-VII) pathway inhibitor (EPI), also essentially unchanged both groups patients. However, fibrinogen significantly less 0.05) intervention.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
