摘要: Abstract A method for testing the mechanical properties of fish vertebrae was adapted from other studies and used to describe structural integrity fishes' vertebra tissues. Individual anterior region spinal column were subjected compression tests determine strength (ultimate stress at elastic limit), elasticity strain modulus elasticity), energy-absorbing capacity (toughness). For brook trout Salvelinus fontinalis, channel catfish Ictalurus punctatus, bluegills Lepomis macrochirus, bone differed among species changed with age within a species. Overall, changes in related age-dependent density.
