New techniques for the identification of microscopic samples of textile fibres by infrared spectroscopy

摘要: Abstract Infrared spectroscopy has proved to be a very useful method for the routine identification of man-made textile fibres. This paper describes way in which this technique can fit into casework procedure using two different preparative methods. Spectra recorded from samples 3 μg down less than 1 weight.
