摘要: Abstract Activated microglia participate in neuroinflammation which contribute to neuronal damage. Suppression of microglial activation would have therapeutic benefits, lead alleviation the progression neurodegeneration. In this study, inhibitory effects inflexin, a putative antiinflammatory agent isolated from Isodon excisus (Max.) Kudo (Labiateae), on production proinflammatory mediators were investigated lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated microglia. Inflexin significantly inhibited release nitric oxide (NO). Consistently, both mRNA and protein levels for inducible NO synthase decreased by inflexin concentration-dependent manner. also expression cyclooxygenase (COX)-2, but not COX-1 effectively reduced LPS-induced cytokines dose-dependent Furthermore, degradation IκB-α NF-κB, p65 Akt, while MAPKs signal pathway was affected. Our data suggest that able suppress via inhibition NF-κB Akt indicating may be developed as potent treating neuroinflammatory diseases.
