摘要: Objective: The objective was to develop a Finnish Children Healthy Eating Index (FCHEI), determine the relative validity of index and examine associations between familial sociodemographic lifestyle characteristics. Design: Cross-sectional samples children participating in population-based birth cohort study Finland. Setting: Type I Diabetes Prediction Prevention (DIPP) Study cohort. Subjects: Three-day food records from 1-year-old (n 455), 3-year-old 471) 6-year-old 713) were completed 2003 2005. Results: Validity FCHEI assessed by studying nutrient intakes children. Among all age groups, SFA sugars decreased across increasing quartiles while PUFA, dietary fibre, vitamin D E increased. 3- 6-yearolds, being cared for at home associated with lowest quartile (diet that deviates most recommendations). also residence semi-urban area among 3-year-olds low maternal education smoking during pregnancy 6-year-olds. Conclusions: serves as valid indicator quality children’s diet. Public health programmes aimed improving behaviours pre-school aged should aim improve served home. Families history lower parental education, or non-urban place may require special attention.
