摘要: Background The associations between toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2) and 4(TLR4) polymorphisms inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) susceptibility remain controversial. A meta-analysis was performed to assess these associations. Methods A systematic search identify all relevant studies relating TLR2 TLR4 IBD susceptibility. Odds ratios (ORs) 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were calculated. Subgroup analyses by ethnicity publication quality. Results Thirty-eight eligible studies, assessing 10970 cases 7061 controls included. No Arg677Trp polymorphism found. significant association observed Arg753Gln Crohn’s (CD) or ulcerative colitis (UC) in genetic models. Interestingly, Asp299Gly significantly associated with increased risk of CD UC models, except for the additive one CD. In addition, a statistically among high quality evaluating Caucasians, but not Asians. Associations Thr399Ile found only allele dominant The pooled results as well subgroup analysis publications models. Conclusions provides evidence that is Asians; may be Caucasians only. Additional well-powered other variants are warranted.
