摘要: A particularly troublesome problem to the electric utility industry is occurrence of tree-like defects in polyethylene- insulated transmission cables that have been energized for a period time presence water (1). These defects, trees, are associated with decreased dielectric strength (2) and may be responsible premature failure underground (3). Although it generally agreed both electrical stress necessary initiation growth no single mechanism formation these universally accepted (4).
