摘要: Heterogeneous networks (HetNets) and millimeter wave (mmWave) communications have been recognized as two of the most promising techniques for future cellular networks. HetNets possess ability to significantly increase network capacity coverage, while mmWave bands an abundant spectrum support gigabit-per-second data transmission backhauling. Due extreme pathloss unreliable signals over longer distances, multi-hop transmissions identified a backhaul (BH) solution in HetNets. On other hand, energy efficiency (EE) has prime design factor because their rising costs. In this paper, optimization frameworks maximizing EE with BH links are explored. The first framework, referred joint EE, power, flow control (JEEPF), considers enforcing strict throughput requirement on all user equipment (UEs) via power flows. second flow, (JEEPFT), allows acceptable range requirements each UE maximizes flows, UEs’ achievable throughputs. It is observed that little change (i.e., vs. requirements) causes drastic difference formulations both problems. JEEPF simplifies minimization problem (which convex), JEEPFT ratio fractional non-convex). Two obtain optimal proposed framework. Simulation results used demonstrate superiority framework simple benchmark schemes. computational complexity discussed.
