This trend is based on evidence that this so called pipeline methodology can increase the disclosure socially proscribed behaviors a setting where might otherwise feel pressure deny they smoke. paper examines effects alone and combination with procedures designed ensure anonymity tobacco, alcohol, marijuana by young adolescents. data indicate significantly tobacco when students are promised confidentiality but not anonymity. However, was assured, just as high without pipeline; for use, higher pipeline. No were observed alcohol disclosure. These interpreted their implications prospective cross sectional studies.
