摘要: Right-sided heart failure-often caused by elevated pulmonary arterial pressure-is a chronic and progressive condition with particularly high mortality rates. Recent studies our current findings suggest that components of Wild garlic (Allium ursinum, AU) may play role in reducing blood pressure, inhibiting angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), as well improving right ventricle function rabbit models failure. We hypothesize AU mitigate cardiovascular damage hypertension (PAH) has value the supplementary treatment complications disease. In this present investigation, PAH was induced single dose monocrotaline (MCT) injection Sprague-Dawley rats, animals were divided into 4 groups follows: I. healthy control (Control group); II. hypertensive rats (PAH III. + daily sildenafil (Sildenafil IV. liophylisate-enriched chow (WGLL group), for 8 weeks. Echocardiographic measurements obtained on 0 weeks fundamental Doppler imaging. Isolated working method used to determinate cardiac functions ex vivo after thoracotomy 8th week. Histological analyses carried out excised lung samples, Western blot technique determine Phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) expression both myocardial tissues. Our data demonstrate measured echocardiography deteriorated compared controls, which counteracted treatment. showed aortic flow WGLL group animals. analysis revealed dramatic increase medial wall thickness arteries harvested from animals, but sildenafil- WGLL-treated physiological status. results bioactive compounds Allium ursinum could have beneficial effects hypertension.
