摘要: In this paper, we develop a real-time situational awareness framework for the electrical transmission power grid using Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). While WSNs are capable of cost efficient monitoring over vast geographical areas, several technical challenges exist. The low power, data rate devices cause bandwidth and latency bottlenecks. our objective is to design wireless network delivery physical measurements ideal preventive or corrective control action. For design, formulate an optimization problem with minimizing installation operational costs while satisfying end-to-end constraints flows. We study hybrid hierarchical architecture composed combination wired, cellular technologies that can guarantee monitoring. placement find optimal location enabled towers. Further, present evaluation results solution diverse scenarios. Our formulation generic addresses real world scenarios asymmetric sensor generation, unreliable link behavior, non-uniform coverage, etc. analysis shows line WSN indeed feasible available technologies. show be limiting factor optimization.
