摘要: This chapter describes the concept of dynamic power management (DPM), which is a methodology used to decrease consumption system. In DPM, system dynamically reconfigured lower while meeting some performance requirement. other words, depending on necessary and actual computation load, or its blocks are tuned-off their lowered. reviews several approaches system-level including fixed time-out, predictive shut-down wake-up, stochastic methods. addition, it presents key ideas behind circuit-level clock gating, gating precomputation logic. The concludes with description runtime mechanisms for leakage control in VLSI circuits.
