摘要: We investigated four Japanese autopsy cases of the generalized variant Pick's disease ("basophilic inclusion body disease") both clinically and pathologically, examined degree distribution basal ganglia lesions, including amygdala, striatum, pallidum, substantia nigra. The lesions in pallidum were classified into three categories (slight, moderate, severe). nigra qualitatively judged, compared with normal controls. Extrapyramidal signs, not noticed disease, evident all cases, addition to dementia. uniform: caudate nucleus showed severe amygdala putamen moderate slight lesions. our prominent neuronal loss, probably being one responsible for extrapyramidal signs. In alterations within differs from those reported Pick bodies (PDPB) corticobasal degeneration (CBD). PDPB, are present relative sparing nigra, compatible rare signs while CBD, found These clinicopathological findings may contribute only elucidation hallmarks, but also progress neuroimaging, disease.
