摘要: We investigated five Japanese autopsy cases of diffuse neurofibrillary tangles with calcification (DNTC), both clinically and pathologically, examined the degree distribution basal ganglia lesions, especially in amygdala, striatum, pallidum, substantia nigra. The lesions pallidum were classified into three categories (mild, moderate, severe). nigra qualitatively judged, compared normal controls. Severe dementia was observed four neuropathologically showing pronounced neuronal loss cerebral cortex, but one case without cortex showed mild memory disturbance. Extrapyramidal signs evident cases. Obvious presence Lewy bodies noticed Basal all uniform: amygdala severe to moderate caudate nucleus slight putamen normal. Furthermore, more prominent basolateral group than corticomedial group, inconsistent those Alzheimer's disease. Moderate cortex. In DNTC, except for nigral analogous found Pick's disease Pick bodies. These clinicopathological findings may contribute elucidation hallmarks this disorder.
