摘要: Abstract Background While MD adherence to U.S. Preventive Services Task Force guidelines has been found be uneven, nurse practitioners (NPs) and their have not closely examined. Methods A retrospective chart review of new patients ( n = 1339) in an NP primary health care center, four centers, one private practice. Screening counseling were compared for NPs MDs. Results When patient populations, resources, administrative policies similar the more likely than MDs perform prevention; however, document delivery secondary prevention screening. Private practice NPs' performance was congruent with either or center providers. screening, assessment, counseling. Conclusions context, population, productivity requirements same, differed use preventive measures, as expected. are constrained by requirements, when population resources higher expectations, better counterparts, particularly assessment
