摘要: Transforming growth factor-β (TGF-β) is a multifunctional cytokine with pivotal roles in development and tissue homeostasis. TGF-β initiates its cellular responses by signaling via specific type I II serine/threonine kinase receptors downstream Smad effector proteins. In vitro studies cocultured endothelial smooth muscle cells, as well genetic humans mice, have revealed an important role for vascular maintenance. not only affects angiogenesis directly influencing mural cell functions, but also recruiting inflammatory which release cytokines that act on cells. Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT), dominant disorder, has been linked to mutations activin receptor-like 1 (ALK1) the accessory receptor endoglin. Mice deficient various components develop embryonic lethality due defects. this review, we present our current understanding of disorders.
