摘要: The purpose of this study was to investigate immunolocalization collagenolytic enzymes including cathepsin K, matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) 1 and 2 in the compressed periodontal ligament (PDL) during orthodontic tooth movement using a periostin deficient (Pn-/-) mouse model. Twelve-week-old male mice homozygous for disrupted gene their wild type (WT) littermates were used these experiments. performed according Waldo’s method, which elastic bands 0.5 mm thickness inserted between first second upper molars under anesthesia. At 3 days after force application, fixed with transcardial perfusion 4 % paraformaldehyde 0.1 M phosphate buffer (pH 7.4), peripheral alveolar bones extracted histochemical analyses. Compared WT mice, MMP1 MMP2 significantly decreased at PDL Pn-/- although MMP1-reactivity MMP2-reactivity different amounts. Very little K-immunoreactivity observed assessed regions both before application. Furthermore, showed much wider residual than mice. Taken together, we concluded that plays an essential role function like
