Synthesis of Cd(OH)2 with Doughnut Microstructure and Its Controlled Growth Mechanism

摘要: Doughnut-like Cd(OH)2 microstructure was obtained by a facile solution-based method using polymer polyacrylamide (PAM) as crystal growth modifier. Hexagonal flake-like is the building-block to assemble doughnut-like microstructures. The block concaves from one side when PAM present in synthesis system. However, nano-size doughnuts with hole middle part were formed if carboxyl-functionalized (PAM-COOH) used A possible mechanism for formation based on typical oriented attachment process presence of discussed. Polymer-directed and mediated self-assembly nanocrystals may promise routes variously ordered inorganic inorganic-organic hybrid materials complex forms special structures.
