摘要: We performed a quantitative assessment of the risk lung cancer from exposure to cadmium based on retrospective cohort mortality study cadmium-exposed workers. The population consisted white male workers who were employed for at least 6 months smelter between January 1, 1940, and December 31, 1969, first facility or after 1926. findings analyzed using modified life-table analysis estimate standardized ratios (SMRs), various functional forms (i.e., exponential, power, additive relative rate, linear) Poisson Cox proportional hazards models examine dose-response relationship. Estimates working lifetime (45 years) developed an approach that corrects competing causes death. An excess in was observed entire (SMR = 149, 95% confidence interval (CI) 95, 222). Mortality greatest among non-Hispanic 211, CI 131, 323), highest group 272, 123, 513), with 20 more years since 161, 100, 248). A statistically significant relationship evident nearly all regression evaluated. Based our analyses, current Occupational Safety Health Administration standard fumes 100 micrograms/m3 is approximately 50 111 deaths per 1000 exposed 45 years.
