摘要: Abstract Errors in hardware and software are often the result of inadequate design. This paper takes a similar view with respect to errors at user interface, introduces new conceptualization for interfaces, namely fault-tolerant interfaces. The describes work done first phase project investigate interfaces which minimize opportunity error generally tolerate or avoid faults. is based on idea that users' cognitive limitations contribute errorful behaviour, these can be overcome used advantageously careful interface A program were constructed according precepts identified by research, tested empirically against preexisting program, comparing ease use behaviour. Results demonstrated proposed framework produced superior virtue being simpler learn, educing fewer errors, taking less time complete task. goal successful interaction users without resort manual documentation was achieved.
