摘要: Picky eating has been investigated through numerous surveys and food recalls, but few studies have applied in-home meal evaluations as a method to investigate behaviors preferences of children perceived by their parent be picky eater (PE) or nonpicky (NPE). A 2-wk study was completed differences in PE NPE mealtime selections using real-time parental observations. Parents (n = 170) 2- 4-y-old (83 87 NPE) evaluated 5 standardized meals in-home. recorded child's own hedonic liking the products an assessment behavior consumption at each meal. Significant were found between for all 16 assessed. On average, assessed consume higher percentage served acceptance scores most foods evaluated. Some foods, though, like breaded chicken plain pasta, liked equally NPE. Several significant revealed when compared parents. Yet, occurred parents 2 groups. Because participants rather than memory recall, similarities may considered direct experiential evidence with reduced subjective bias created subjects recall past experiences. Thus, findings from this can provide foundation establish objective definition classification
