摘要: Treating a myocardial infarction (MI), the most frequent cause of death worldwide, remains one exciting medical challenges in 21st century. Cardiac tissue engineering, novel emerging treatment, involves use therapeutic cells supported by scaffold for regenerating infarcted area. It is essential to select appropriate material; ideal should provide suitable cellular microenvironment, mimic native myocardium, and allow mechanical electrical coupling with host tissues. Among available materials, natural scaffolds are preferable achieving these purposes because they possess extracellular matrix properties structures. Here, we review several applications MI management, focus on pre-clinical studies clinical trials performed date. We also evaluate combined different cell types proteins their ability promote improved heart function, contractility neovascularization, attenuate adverse ventricular remodeling. Although further refinement necessary coming years, promising results indicate that may be valuable translational option impact repair.
