摘要: Leptospirosis is globally important disease affecting almost all mammals including human being. Several cases of this occur in India every year and studies have made to trace the epidemiology, pathology disease. It occurs urban environments industrialized developing countries, as well rural regions worldwide. The found mainly wherever come contact with urine infected animals contaminated environment. unsuccessful attempts control by chemo therapeutics prompted us go for alternative strategies. present study comprises use traditional medicines overcome side effects caused chemotherapeutics. In an attempt has been herbal medicine cure leptospirosis either direct killing or inhibiting growth leptospira. Inhibition realized unique approach stop growth. A methonolic aqueous extract whole plants Eclipta alba Phyllanthus amarus assessed determine mechanism(s) its antileptospiral antioxidant activity. activity radical scavenging methanolic extracts selected plant materials were evaluated against 1, 1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) free 2,2’azinobis(3-ethylbenzthiazoline- 6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) DNA damaging on leptospira also investigated. Finally, tested different concentration their respective solvent systems Tube Dilution Technique (TDT) Micro (MDT) tests. P. studied both tube dilution micro techniques results showed better inhibitory action various serogroups Leptospira. DPPH effect was compared standard ascorbic acid. IC 50 value 75µg/ml 45µg /ml acid methanol had good 55µg/ml 30µg/ml ABTS assay. be very effective leptospirosis. possible E.alba P.amarus are discussed studies.
