摘要: Maggots have become highly successful in the treatment of non-healing wounds and multidrug-resistant pathogen infections. The main objective this study was to extract antibacterial substances from larvae black soldier fly, Hermetia illucens. To induce immune responses, we septically injured with a contaminated needle. Lyophilized H. illucens were homogenized extracted acidic methanol. We examined antifungal effects low molecular weight antimicrobial factors within larval on growth broad range microorganisms, including Gram-positive Staphylococcus aureus, methicillin resistant aureus (MRSA), Gram-negative Pseudomonas aeruginosa. Furthermore, isolated anti-MRSA using high performance liquid chromatography. These investigations revealed that possessed broad-spectrum activity, demonstrating secretions prove useful fight against MRSA can potentially be source novel antibiotic-like compounds for infection control.
