摘要: Exposing human lymphocyte cultures to concentrations ofN-nitrosoatrazine (NNAT) as low 0.0001 μg/ml results in significant elevations chromosome breakage well an increased mitotic index. In contrast, 1,000–10,000-fold greater of nitrates, nitrites, and/or atrazine was required produce comparable damage and, those cases where the index affected, it decreased. Simultaneous administration nitrates or nitrites with caused less than NNAT without affecting index, illustrating that metabolic conversion contaminants minimal genotoxicity can give rise compounds such which are even more genotoxic.
