摘要: Abstract Carbon nanofibers (CNFs) dispersed epoxy resin was reinforced with unidirectional glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) grafted ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fibers. Tensile tests were performed on unfilled, and CNF filled to identify the effect of adding CNFs mechanical properties epoxy. The highest improvement in strength obtained 1 wt% CNF. flexural improvements three-component nanocomposites confirmed by results. combined use GMA-grafted UHMWPE fibers leads a significant synergy nanocomposites. mechanisms such synergism analyzed fracture studies using scanning electron microscopy.
