摘要: Osteoporosis is of medical interest only because it increases bone fragility and risk fracture, except for relief symptoms, preventing fracture the purpose intervention. To prevent first adequate density must be accumulated conserved, but to subsequent augmented so that supportive function skeleton can restored. Almost 50 years after recognition post menopausal osteoporosis as a clinical entity, not one many treatments have been used has demonstrated efficacious in reducing risk. My recite this chronicle disappointment, account terms biology, consider some possible exceptions, reiterate importance damage rather than belatedly attempting its repair.
