摘要: Five new species of Paectes Hubner [1818] related to arcigera (Guenee) (Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, British Guadeloupe, Dominica, St. Lucia, Trinidad) and longiformis Pogue (Brazil) are described: asper sp. n. (Florida, Bahamas, Cuba, Cayman Jamaica, Haiti, Dominican Republic, Puerto Colombia), medialba (Argentina), similis (Brazil), sinuosa (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay), tumida (Colombia, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana). Adults genitalia illustrated for all species. Taxonomic changes include the rev. stat. nana (Walker) Greater Antilles, Mexico, Guatemala, Galapagos) as a valid revised synonyms indefatigabilis Schaus isabel junior instead arcigera. New host records reared on Brazilian peppertree (Schinus terebinthifolius Raddi, Anacardiaceae) presented. The holotype female obrotunda illustrated.
