摘要: Abstract The Na + K Mg 2+ —dependent adenosine triphosphate phosphohydrolase system (transport ATPase) from the heart muscle of dog, cat, man (fetus), pigeon, guinea-pig, frog, rat and toad was studied. transport ATPases eight species are equally strongly inhibited by calcium ions, they show, however, great variations susceptibility to inhibition cardiotonic drugs ouabain, digitoxin, cassaine prednisolone-3,20-bis-guanylhydrazone. in inhibitory activity these cardiotonics not due accidental variables or preparative artefacts, but represent characteristics various animal species. compared one with another, differ relative strength effect on enzymatic systems complementarity between surface steroid terpenoid component hand neighbourhood —centre ATPase other is presumed be decisive factor for compounds, because it appears determine essentially affinity enzyme system. Thus, might caused differences topography at outer cell membrane. observations level examined whether offer an explanation therapeutic toxic actions prednisolone-bis-guanylhydrazone. dependency their effects system, contractility intact compared. results favour conclusion that largely based corresponding different compounds.
