Morphometric Characterization of a Watershed through SRTM Data and Geoprocessing Technique

摘要: The aim of this study is to characterize the morphometry a watershed using radar data Shuttle Radar Topographic Mission (SRTM) and GIS techniques. conducted in Indaia stream, which located southwestern region municipality Aquidauana, MS, Brazil has an area 94.6764 km2. A tributary Taboco River consequently enters the Pantanal lowlands. Classical morphometric parameters were calculated specialized through spatial analysis geographic information systems. main results characterization variables form factor, drainage density, coefficient compactness, maintenance coefficient, as well relief found, including hypsometry, slope, aspect dissection (horizontal vertical amplitude). integrated (morphometric relief) concludes that low susceptibility flooding but morphology lithological structure favors development erosion processes watershed.
