An architecture for ink annotations on Web documents

摘要: There have been recent improvements in document technologies like the standardization of object interfaces to access and manipulate properties Web documents. has also significant progress pen based computing for recognition digital ink desktops, tablets handheld devices. These necessitated a need further research on annotation architectures documents, specifically pen-based systems. This paper presents an attempt leverage new standards DHTML W3C DOM that are being gradually implemented by popular browsers, build prototype system with common components across browsers. One primary goals this study is semantically link data underlying elements text images. The three components: a) capture rendering b) Ink Understanding, which recognizes associates document; c) storage retrieval.
