摘要: J Oral Pathol Med (2011) 40: 263–269 Background: The purpose of this study was to assess and compare angiogenesis with proliferative activity in Keratocystic odontogenic tumors (KCOT) dentigerous cysts (DC) by using monoclonal mouse anti-human antibody against CD105 (endoglin). Material Methods: Angiogenesis assessed 38 KCOT, 27 DCs 19 Normal Mucosa (NOM) measuring the Mean Vascular Density (MVD), Total Area (TVA) (MVA). Cell proliferation obtaining Ki-67 Labeling Index (Ki-67LI) all groups. Results: Statistically significant difference observed MVD, TVA, MVA LI between DC NOM (P = 0.000). were significantly higher KCOT than MVD (P = 0.032) TVA (P = 0.038) DC. There positive correlation MVA. Conclusion: result suggests that (endoglin) is strongly expressed microvessels compared Dentigerous cyst oral mucosa. Thus, it may be associated locally aggressive biological behavior KCOT. These findings further stress on hypothesis stroma could regarded not just as a structural support wall, but playing part neoplastic cyst.
