摘要: Porphyran is a sulfated polysaccharide extracted from Pyropia, genus of marine red algae. In this study, the biological activity porphyran Pyropia yezoensis as an oral hypolipidemic agent in Institute Cancer Research (ICR) mice was investigated. lowered serum triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol/high-density (LDL-C/HDL-C) ratio 28 days after administration. at dose 200 mg kg−1 d−1 can decrease percentage body weight gain (BWG) lipid profiles significantly, similar to Zhibituo (a drug approved by China Food Drug Administration 2009). The that have taken showed obvious increase fecal TC TG compared with blank control group. liver weight, composition (TG TC), damage index (serum alanine aminotransferase, ALT; aspartate aminotransaminase, AST; alkaline phosphatase, ALP), hepatocyte morphology results on high-fat diet imply dietary administration alleviate induced diet. Therefore, may be useful functional food additive, hypolipidemic, liver-protective agent.
