摘要: In Placid Lake Cyclops bicuspidatus thomasi was the abundant cyclopoid copepod and Tropocyclops prasinus rare. Feeding experiments showed that T. omnivorous in later instars but this species neither cannibalistic nor did it prey on other microcrustaceans. Consequently, late instar adult diets of C. b. not overlap. Seasonal abundance peaks revealed a temporal segregation naupliar these two copepods. Competition between therefore unlikely. Laboratory only potentially important invertebrate predator found Lake, Chaoborus flavicans, ate more than absence beaker environments, always outnumbered after 50 or 100 days.
