摘要: Two planktonic cyclopoid copepods (Tropocyclops prasinus and Mesocyclops longisetus) were raised in the laboratory to obtain life history information (duration of embryonic post-embryonic development, reproductive performance, longevity, stage-specific length weight values). Animals maintained at 20 25°C, fed ad libitum. Development times temperature dependent when food was not limiting, with shorter periods development decreased longevity 25°C. data on duration biomass, together population dynamics obtained field, used estimate summer winter biomass production these species a shallow reservoir, Lagoa Dourada, Brazil. The maximum rate T prasinus, attained during summer, 2.8 mg dry (DW) m -3 day -1 highest daily production:biomass (P:B) ratio 0.29, whereas for M. longisetus 1.4 DW P:B 0.39, winter. Over short time intervals (every other day), there great variability rates. Species rates low compared values reported literature same or equivalent sized from both tropical subtropical regions.
