摘要: BACKGROUND Maize plants expressing insecticidal proteins of Bacillus thuringiensis are valuable options for managing fall armyworm (FAW), Spodoptera frugiperda, in Brazil. However, control failures were reported, and therefore insecticides have been used to this species. Based on these, we evaluated Bt maize its integration with against FAW south Brazil. RESULTS Early-planted Agrisure TL, Herculex, Optimum Intrasect non-Bt severely damaged by required up three sprays. In contrast, YieldGard VT Pro, Pro 3, PowerCore, Viptera 3 showed little damage did not require insecticides. Late-planted significant from four sprays, the exceptions 3. Exalt (first second sprays); Lannate + Premio spray) Avatar (second spray); Karate + Match Ampligo most effective larvae maize. CONCLUSION Maize Cry exhibited Brazil, necessitating containing Vip3Aa20 protein remained FAW. regardless insecticide surviving maize, grain yields similar.
