摘要: A Taiwan isolate of Cymbidium mosaic virus (CymMV-CS) was isolated from infected sinesis Willd. The cDNA the capsid protein (CP) gene synthesized and sequenced. Alignment this CP with other reported CPs revealed homologies 92–98% at nucleotide level 98–99% amino acid level. To generate virus-resistant varieties, CymMV-CS transformed into Dendrobium protocorms through particle bombardment. Transformants were selected on medium supplemented 20 mg/L hygromycin presence transgene confirmed by polymerase chain reaction, Southern, Northern Western blot analyses. Transgenic harboring CymMV expressed a very low accumulation four months post-inoculation CymMV, as detected ELISA. transgenic plants exhibited much milder symptoms than non-transgenic upon challenge virions
