摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the electrophysiological (EP) correlates of language through several studies in aphasia. There are that have shown abnormal EEG patterns a mixed population aphasies. In one study, stimuli consisted 3-letter words or random dot patterns. Left temporal patients showed less different ER waveforms evoked by right and left field presentation verbal stimuli. The nonverbal deficit was demonstrated undifferentiated waveforms. Although these subjects were presumably nonaphasic, subtle deficits word finding been lobectomy cases. Motor aphasies show larger amplitude auditory EPs than sensory like normals enhancement with binaural stimulation. other cases, EP reduced absent. Altered responsiveness to instruction associated mediobasal lesions.
