摘要: The effect of Siemens-star aperture geometry on terahertz transmission through the periodic subwavelength-sized hole arrays in a metal screen was investigated by finite-difference time-domain simulations and compared with experiments. Our modeling revealed that extraordinary frequency did not correlate array lattice constant as commonly believed, but actually related to waveguide mode, intensity position which depended strongly geometry. By means aperture/array structure, promising sub-micrometer band-pass width could be achieved superimposing such an mode resonance Wood's anomaly frequencies.
