摘要: Abstract : The major objective of this study was to determine whether sex-related differences in thermoregulation exist; and if so, there any method define these differences. A methodological problem the inability find groups males females matched all their physical characteristics, namely: body weight, skin surface area, percentage fat cardiorespiratory fitness. This partially solved by dividing each sex into two subgroups matching as 'small' vs. 'big' females, or more fit less males. concluded from investigation are summarized Table 4. In comfortable climatic conditions (20 C, 40% rh) men women reacted a physiologically similar fashion. Under wet conditions, mild hot, tolerated heat better than They displayed lower deep temperatures, therefore storage, while demonstrating sweat rates subsequently dehydration contrast, under hot-dry seemed be at physiological advantage. Compared they showed HR, rates. (Author)
